The placement process evaluates your skill level in writing and mathematics to determine which courses are most appropriate to maximize your academic success. Placement decisions are made by professional staff from the 学生学业成功中心. Results are reported to academic advisors prior to registration.

写位置

As an incoming undergraduate student, you will be placed in an appropriate writing course (Writing Lab with English Composition, or English Composition) based on a review of multiple measures of your achievement, including high school grade point average, 高中英语成绩, 先修学分, or English Composition transfer credit.

数学的位置

Math placement is made based on your credentials prior to New Student Orientation. First-year students are assigned one of five levels using a combination of data: high school mathematics courses and grades, other high school transcript information, 平均绩点, and SAT/ACT or other standard mathematics test scores if available. Transfer students are placed based on available high school records and college transcripts.
